Micah Graduates from BYU-I

Micah recieved his Business degree and landed a job with Federated Insurance. Nice!! We love you and recognize how hard you have worked.

Happy Thanksgiving/Birthday to me!

The best birthday gift ever was NOT cooking for Thanksgiving! I can't tell you how relaxed I was for days before and after Thanksgiving. Not that I don't LOVE having as many of my family and friends as possible at the holidays and gathering for a HOME cooked meal, but this year I opted for no shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning and we went to Black Angus for Thanksgiving dinner! It was heavenly I must say! Do our facial expressions give it away?

P.S. I would have traded it for all my kids to be home though!

Growing into a handsome young man!

Michael's 8th grade picture turned out so well I thought I'd share. School pictures are a gamble; you never know what you'll get. This year is show-off worthy. His braces even look good!

It's A Boy!

Mishawn had her ultrasound yesterday...It's a boy! Due date March 5.
Just two more boys and Micah will have his basketball team. (I think there's 5 on the court, I should know this). Mishawn would be the coach!

Ice blocking dangers!

McCall and a couple of her friends decided to go iceblocking. Iceblocking is sledding down a grassy hill on a block of ice with a towel on top of it to sit on. One of her friends had never been before and her friends mother said, "It's too dangerous, people get hurt!" Thus the curse was placed. On the second run down the hill McCall fell off her block as well as her friend who's block of ice flew down the hill and smacked McCall in the head. 7 stitches later (2 in the laceration and 5 to close it), her friends mom said,"For the record, I told you it was dangerous!"
McCall thought it was funny and is doing well. We had to go to the store to get COOL bandaids...Hello Kitty and Cars.

I dream a dream that on this day
Play is work and work is play
That people stop to say hello
to people passing to and fro
that men will cease to be consumed
by greed and money which most presume
to be the key to life itself
while virtue and morals are left on the shelf
I dream a dream that on this day
a miracle will happen but who's to say
that all these things I've said are true,
For I dreamt this dream for me and not you.
