Some Girls Camp Pics

Our Camp photographer/priesthood leader/high councilman was fascinated with McCall's name. He vacations in McCall, Idaho and was wearing this McCall, Idaho tshirt. He gave McCall his shirt because he thought she should have it. He also took this picture of McCall and I, which I love.

I've Been Tagged
AbOUT mE aNd My LoVE.....

What is his name? Bob

How long have we been married? 25 years

How long did we date? 8 months

How old is he? 49

Who eats more? I bet I do, he’s the type that goes all day without eating then goes on a rampage. I NEVER forget to eat!

Who said "I love you" first? He did.

Who is taller? He is.

Who sings better? I do.

Who is smarter? I can spell A LOT better, but he has way more common sense.

Whose temper is worse? Mine.

Who pays the bills? I do.

Who does the laundry? I do.

Who cooks dinner? I do.

Who drives when together? He does.

Who is more stubborn? That’s a toss up, but I bet it’s me.

Who is the first to admit when wrong? This is why I’m more stubborn, he would.

Who wears the pants in the family? Good question. It would appear that I do, but Bob can be passive aggressive. Explain to me why we live in the neighborhood that he grew up in if I wear the pants?

Who mows the lawn? He does with the kids help.

Who kissed who first? He did…it’s legendary. He stole it after he threw me a basketball, kissed me, grabbed the ball, then ran.

Who asked out who first? He did.

Who proposed? He did.

What is my favorite thing about him? There is not just one favorite thing after 25 years. He’s been a great dad to our children. He leaves me little notes all the time in unexpected places. He’s always positive. He’s willing to make things right. He’s more about people, than things. He’s been a blessing in my life.

I tag Taraka, Stacie, Kim, Louise, and Lauren. I'm not sure anyone ever sees my blog but just in case you do, your tagged!

Back From Girls Camp

We had a great camp this year up to the last night when a virus swept thru camp. All night long, more than thirty people were effected. The health dept. had to be called and they said it sounds like the norovirus but we're not totally sure. Our Stake President is taking precautions and has cancelled church this sunday. McCall got sick but she's doing better today. I did not get sick yet but I have till tomorrow morning to be in the clear. Now thats one way to get released from being a stake camp director!

4th of July Cabin

We bought a few days at our Bishops' cabin at the scout auction. Turned out to be pretty nice! Check it out at www.priestlakevacations.com and click on the cabin called "Vista". The fireworks at Priest Lake Hills resort were great too! We can't wait till next years scout auction! Thanks Bishop!

The most exciting thing so far this summer

We were 2 1/2 blocks from the mandatory evacuation zone due to wildfire. So far 8 homes have been lost. Now would have been a good time to have those 72 hour kits ready instead of playing at the lake!

I've resorted to stealing!

If you've seen the movie "Mad Money", you'll know what I mean. My life of crime has begun with stealing pictures from other blogs. I stole this picture off Mishawn's ward blog. This is her relief society enrichment activity stroller walking group. She's the middle mom with the white hoodie and I think it's cute. Who knows what I'm capable of doing next?

Favorite Movie: A Walk To Remember

Favorite Motivational Quote: “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow”.” - Mary Anne Radmacher

Favorite number: 24 (Every basketball jersey worn by a Minarik had the number 24 on it.)

24 years ago, you were a beautiful baby boy with an Elvis wave to your hair, dark brown eyes, and a serene spirit. We struggled a bit at first, each trying to figure out our new life together. You were such a joy! I thought I was the best mom in the whole world, this is easy! Really you just made me look good! I still see that little boy with the bowl cut hair. I knew you were growing up when you wouldn't let me cut it anymore. 24 years goes by so fast... What will the next 24 years be like? The balls in your court now and I'm your biggest fan.
